Grandma in hospital.

Friday morning Carol decided to get Grandma in the hospital and that was a good thing as she was blocked up again.  They did X-Rays this weekend and said she is still blocked up but looking better.  She can not even eat until she gets it fixed, so she is on an IV.

2nd Dan

I recently received my second stripe on my belt. It is good to have my belt back. I had it all broken in and was starting to break in my other belt, the one with the spelling error. I really like my old belt much better. It is like an old friend.

Learning Japanese

I recently learned the basic hirgana and katagana. How did I do it you ask. Through flash cards. I bought some from whiterabbitpress.com through Amazon.com. They finally worked for me to learn those silly but beautiful characters.  I just ordered the first set for Kanji characters.  I expect these will go as well as the other flash cards.

Death Becomes Her

Today I write because my Wifes Mother died last Thursday.  Dawn Peters, age 65, collapsed and died on Thursday Feb 7th around 4:30pm.  Today we are getting the family together at Eagle Hall in Boyne City,Mi.  Dawn had three daughters,Carol(my wife),Sharon, and Jane.  Even though Carol didn't like having to take care of her Mom, because she was very difficult to handle sometimes, she did it anyway.  Carol is real upset of her lost and has many mixed emotions.  It's not easy losing someone especially a mother, even if they didn't get along well together.  I don't have any pictures of Dawn to put up.  If I had a picture I would like to put one up when she wasn't dealing with living with crones disease .  I would like to put a picture of her when she was more there mentally.  I never knew Dawn until after she had her strokes, three of them.  Strokes and the Crones disease does takes it toll on a person.  Now she doesn't have to worry about the pain and doesn't have to fake being someone important,  in heaven everyone is import and no one has any pains
